PageTurners is a literature-based competition for students in grades 3-12. Two teams of up to six students prepare to answer questions by reading the books on the Official List of Titles, which is prepared by a committee of coaches, teachers, and library specialists. Teams compete in a round-robin format with nearby schools, and division winners advance to a regional competition.
Students participating in PageTurners may read up to 20 books each semester, or be a master of a few books. Audiobooks and iPods are available through Media Library CoSer at Genesee Valley BOCES. Teams are encouraged to participate in writing questions for competitions.
