Regional Leadership Conferences: Genesee Valley BOCES hosts two leadership conferences each summer. The first is the Leadership Institute (LI) for Genesee Valley BOCES district teams, and the second is the Special Education Summer Summit (SESS), which supports the Midwest Joint Management Team. Information about these events is shared annually through regional email listservs. If you have questions in advance, please contact Stephanie Burns, Director of School Improvement, at sburns@gvboces.org.

Evaluation Systems in NYS (APPR/NYS-STEPS): The Midwest Joint Management Team collaborates to address regional needs related to evaluation in New York State. Monroe 2 BOCES provides initial certification for educational leaders in evaluation, while Genesee Valley BOCES (GVB) offers recertification opportunities. If GVB districts require customized, embedded support aligned with evaluation, please contact Patrick Whipple, Director of Professional Learning Services, at pwhipple@gvboces.org.
