Mount Morris CTE Cosmetology seniors had an amazing opportunity to visit Scott Miller Salon & Spa! They watched a top professional demonstrate a haircut and blow-dry, met the inspiring owners Scott & Helen Miller, and even participated in open interviews! Experiences like these help shape the future of our students, giving them real-world insight into the beauty industry. For the second year in a row, the Mount Morris CTE Center has produced a 1st place champion at the AWS Regional Welding Competition! 🏆 Our students went up against the best in the region, demonstrating their incredible skill, knowledge, and dedication.

Our Cosmetology students continue to make a difference! Check out these moments from our February visit to the Wyoming County Veterans Outreach in Warsaw, where our students provided free haircuts to veterans and their families. With over 100 haircuts completed at this location this school year, we’re proud to give back to those who have served. John demonstrated professional techniques, including a flawless skin fade and a straight razor shave, while sharing his inspiring journey into barbering. He provided valuable insights on breaking into the industry after graduation and introduced students to specialty tools of the trade. A huge thank you to John for his time, expertise, and motivation!

Students in this program receive hands-on training in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered systems, preparing them for careers in trucking, heavy machinery, and corporate fleet maintenance. With diesel engines also serving as reliable power sources for generators, pumps, and industrial applications, the demand for skilled diesel technicians continues to grow. This two-year program equips students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed for success in the field. Through classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience at Noyes Hospital and ambulance ride-alongs, these students gain real-world training in emergency response.
Upon completion of the program, students earn their New York State EMT Certification, preparing them to work on an ambulance or continue their medical education toward careers as paramedics, firefighters, or even pre-med students.
