The Early College High School (formerly known as the WNY Tech Academy) serves 13 regional school districts through a curriculum that places a strong emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning to prepare students for high-skill, financially stable careers in growth industries.  Students attending the Early College High School will complete all necessary coursework for a high school diploma as well as earn an Associate of Applied Science degree through Genesee Community College at no cost.

What is the Early College High School?

Students who are passionate about preparing for a high-skill, financially stable career in growth industries have an education option called Early College High School. This program is for students who attend school districts located within the Genesee Valley BOCES region. The Early College High School partners with Genesee Community College to offer a college degree. Students have two different track options, to either begin as freshmen or a fast track for 11th/12th graders.

The Early College High School offers committed, motivated students a unique educational experience. Students earn a high school diploma and focus on the subjects they are most interested in as they learn from innovative workshops, guest speakers, and job mentors. Students earn an Associate degree from GCC at no cost.

• Experience a true early college high school, taking college courses as early as 9th grade and taking all high school and college courses at Genesee Community College (GCC) in 11th and 12th grade

• Earn your high school diploma and an Associate degree in either four or five years at no cost to you!

• Prepare for work as you earn your degree, with work-based learning experience and exposure to business and industry partners that support your success in the program

This educational program is student-driven with varying levels of pace depending on the students and their goals. The degree choices are up to the students, with unlimited opportunities!
